Blue Twilight Cloud
Our servers operate from the Fasthosts data centre in Gloucester, United Kingdom.
Photos uploaded to Cloud Storage are stored in Amazon’s eu-west-2 region, which uses data centres in London.
We may look to open additional regions in other locations in the future.
Our servers run Ubuntu Server 18.04, Apache 2.4, PHP 7.3 and MariaDB 10.4.
Blue Twilight Cloud is version 1.0.0, which is a specially-adapted version of Blue Twilight 2.2.0.
Absolutely not! Blue Twilight Cloud runs on our own servers – all you need to bring is your web browser and your photos!
Blue Twilight Cloud is currently in beta. The service is offered free-of-charge during the beta period.
Once the beta has completed, there will be a small monthly fee to support the service. All beta testers will get a lifetime 50% discount.
No credit card details are required to launch a cloud gallery during the beta. We will provide plenty of notice before pricing is introduced and the ability to either register your card details to continue using the service, or to cancel your galleries.
Cloud Storage stores photos in Amazon’s eu-west-2 region, in London. Photos are stored in a private S3 bucket, but are not backed up.
Local Storage stores photos on our servers’ own virtual hard disks, and the only time they leave our data centre is when the backups are uploaded to our supplier.
Note: although Local Storage is backed up, we do not recommend you use Blue Twilight Cloud as the primary source of your photo files.
